COVID Safety Operational Plan
Making safety planning a priority to protect your employees and customers is essential to reopening businesses after a pandemic.
This Safety Operational Plan provides you a list of requirements and recommendations from Washington State’s Department of Health, Labor and Industries, and the federal government’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
When this challenge is met, it will give consumers the assurance that the reopening is gradual and well-thought out, customers will come back in confidence.
A Message from our Northwest Auto Care Alliance Chairman of the Board,
Northwest Auto Care Alliance – Committed to Serving our Industry
Northwest Auto Care Alliance is here for the automotive industry. Whether it is through legislative items or assisting our individual members, we focus on elevating the automotive repair profession. The automotive industry, in its entirety, benefits from a strong association. At Northwest Auto Care Alliance, our primary focus is on the health of automotive shops. By focusing on the ground level, we raise the tide of our entire industry. We do this specifically through mentoring, training, and networking. Northwest Auto Care Alliance has stepped up during this most recent threat, “COVID 19” by providing resources and assistance for not just our members but for all.
Our legislative activity, which is unfortunately one of the lesser advertised items, is the biggest value that the industry gains from ASA. This is challenging because it can vary depending largely on happenings within the State and Federal government. Currently, Cash for Clunkers is a major national concern and we have been diligently working on opposition for that. When it comes to data access, we have been advocating on your behalf since the beginning. With boots on the ground in DC, we can have discussions before legislation is proposed. This allows us to have an offensive position instead of constantly taking a reactionary, defensive position. At the State level, we opposed a localized Low Carbon Fuel Standard, (LCFS) and we were successful in not seeing it implemented. Northwest Auto Care Alliance is here to prevent bad policy from becoming a reality.
For the member shops, the biggest value is in the peer networking. It is the ability to speak to other professionals in your back yard and understand what is happening all around you. It allows you to sense when the market is changing and respond before it might be too late. For instance, during this Covid-19 pandemic Northwest Auto Care Alliance reached out to all our members and made sure that they were operating and able to survive. Furthermore, we have begun hosting Zoom meetings on a weekly basis to give our members the tools they need to survive in this ever-changing time. For those who are in need you can always find an ally, ready and willing to assist.
Northwest Auto Care Alliance is here to help, so please do not hesitate in reaching out. This is what associations are for, assisting, leading, and lifting up its members in time of need. By this process, we improve the industry and the professions it serves.
