Remembering Richard Merrill Larson Jr.

Richard Merrill Larson Jr. passed away in the comfort of his home in Enumclaw, WA on December 10, 2010.  Rick joined ASA-WA in 2006, and was an active participant.  Rick and Ann joined us for the Leavenworth Retreat last year!Richard Merrill Larson Jr., known as “Rick” to all, was born on August 2, 1953, in Minot, North Dakota the son of Richard M. and Constance Larson, Sr. He attended schools in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1972. He also attended Minot State University. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1972. After the service he met and married Ann (Phillips) Larson on February 21, 1986, and they lived together in Minot, ND, before relocating to Renton, WA in 1987. Through out his lifetime Rick has owned and operated numerous repair shops, the latest being a partner in Superior Automotive Service in Enumclaw, WA. Rick truly enjoyed life, family and friends.

Rick is survived by his wife Ann; two daughters Rebecca of Tacoma and Kristen of Auburn; a son Richard Merrill, III of Enumclaw; sisters Sandra (Terry) Carns, Watford City, ND, Sheryl Jordan of Fargo, ND, Tammy (Ron) Joubert, Minot, ND, and Wendy Arndt, Fargo, ND; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family Mike, Deana and Matt of Graham, WA.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother, Terry.  A service took place at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home.
