Northwest Autocare Alliance Scholarship
Through one or more annual fundraising projects, NWACA members hereby establish scholarship funds to assist students who are entering, continuing, or completing their education above high school level.
One will be awarded in the automotive field and one in general education. Applicants for the automotive scholarship must plan to pursue a job in the automotive industry.
Applicants must belong to the immediate family of Northwest Auto Care Alliance (in good standing) and/or their employees and their immediate families. A selection criterion includes financial needs, demonstrated desire to further their education, and academic aptitude.
Applicants may not apply if they were awarded this Scholarship in the previous year.
In addition to completing the attached application, applicants must submit one letter of recommendation completed by a recent faculty member, or recent employer if out of high school more than 2 years, and an academic transcript.
The completed application, letter of recommendation and transcript must be received at the NWACA Regional Office, NO later than April 10th of each year. Applicants will be notified in May of award. This scholarship will be considered and awarded (subject to available funds) by the current Education and Scholarship committee each year, or by those designated by the board. Check will be made out to recipient and school of choice.

Buz Throndsen Scholarship
This scholarship is to honor Buz Throndsen and his legacy of continuing the spirit of promoting higher education to young men and women in the automotive industry.
This scholarship is to provide one per calendar year, One Thousand Dollar ($1,000) scholarship to a student that is entering his or her 1st or 2nd year in an accredited and approved automotive educational program. It is recommended that the applicant be working with a sponsor from an Northwest Auto Care Alliance automotive business. This scholarship is to be applied towards tuition, books, or supplies used in the classroom, not to include tool purchases.
