In conjunction with NEWESD 101 and the East Valley School District, there have been multiple trade night events throughout the year to introduce the community to a variety of careers in the trades. Spokane had it’s first Automotive Trades Night on April 19th from 5-8pm at Spokane Community College. The focus was careers in the Automotive Industry. The event was free to the public, students and their parents. They were bussed in from the different schools in East Valley School District, it was an opportunity to experience hands-on activities. We had over 25 automotive partners participating and they got to experience everything from welding, to changing a tire, to diagnosing a vehicle and the list goes on!
We will do this again next year, as it’s a great way to introduce the community to great careers that lead to a successful and rewarding future!
